The Artaholics

Straddling the worlds of Art, Technology and Experience are the 3 musketeers who intend to play a pivotal role to take Animation onto a different level altogether. Having more than 2 decades of experience each, and witnessing the evolution of Animation since its early inception, the three of them share hundreds of Commercials, Animated Features, multiple Long Format TV Series and handful of DVDs between them.

Shrirang Sathaye

There’s Art and then there’s Shrirang. Coming from a clan of well-bred Artists (his father is a well known graphic designer and an ex-professor and his mother studied painting), the passage of rites into this profession was a mere formality. Armed with an Applied Art degree from the premier J.J. Institute, Mumbai and further strengthening it with a Visual Communication from IDC, IIT Powai; there was no looking back for this young lad.

A summer course at IDC in 1986 and a valuable stint with the legendary ‘Ram Mohan’ - one of the pioneers of Indian Commercial Animation, and Shrirang knew that Animation was his true calling. He is a well respected 2D animator and has designed, supervised and directed many award winning films in the past 25 years; be it TVCs, Episodic series, Music videos or Full length features.

The last decade saw Shrirang completely immersed in the world of 3D animation with a firm belief in the splendid blend of Art and Technology.
